About Our Trip
How many fast-food stops, flat tires and tanks of gas does it take for a family of five to travel
across country in less than two months? Well, it looks like we are going to find out! The Rosen Family from West
Bloomfield Michigan are taking, what they are calling, "A Rosen Family Adventure!" On June 18 they will begin their
journey and will be visiting all 50 states in only 50 days, participating in an activity in each state, and all the
while educating the United States about the importance of recycling. Keeping three siblings peaceful in an RV for
50 days sounds like a big enough task, let alone making sure each one of them sets foot in every state in America!
Sandy Rosen, whose family has owned Great Lakes Recycling since 1927, along with his wife Lucinda, are taking
the opportunity during their very unique family vacation to make a difference on a country-wide scale, literally!
The family's RV will proudly display a special address for their recycling company's website, www.recycle-america.net,
so every American they pass on their journey will have the opportunity to learn about their goals. |
In addition to their "on the road" advertising, the ambitious family will be handing out flyers in every
state that stress the importance of recycling and keeping our environment clean for the next generation.
The family also plans to keep the country posted on their different daily adventures on their
website, www.rosenfamily.net.
The website will include photos of the family's voyage and their
different activities which will range from the Mammoth Cave in Kentucky to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota.
The family plans on stopping for a photo opportunity at the welcome sign of every state with the exception
of Alaska and Hawaii, to which they will be flying. The Rosen's three kids will also be contributing to the
website by adding fun facts and entertaining info that they learned about each state.
The Rosen family is
looking forward to doing something that has never been done before and giving their children a "crash-course"
in all that the United States has to offer. |
